How AI is used

AI assists rubric scoring. When you submit a response, a secure third-party AI service reads your submission and proposes a rubric score and written feedback.

Remember: only faculty-confirmed scores are final. An AI proposal does not become your grade until a faculty member has reviewed and approved (or adjusted) it. Until then your submission is marked “awaiting faculty review” in your dashboard.

What data is sent to AI providers

• ✓ The text of your submission for the chapter or assessment.
• ✓ The relevant module / scenario context the AI needs to grade.
• ✓ The rubric the faculty has authored for that module.

We do not send your email address, name, or any contact information to the AI providers. A pseudonymous internal identifier is used.

The text you write is sent as-is. If you draw on real experiences in your responses, use fictional names rather than the real names of people in your life or congregation.

Our AI provider may process your text on servers outside your country. The current provider and the full list of third-party services are kept current on our privacy page.

Who can see your work

Your instructor can view your full session transcripts, including any voice recordings you make, and will personally review and score your responses. Your work is not visible to other students.

How to request human review

If you believe an AI-proposed or faculty-confirmed score is wrong, contact your instructor in writing within 14 days. Every grading decision is recorded in an audit log; we can show you which prompt version and model the AI proposal used.
